  1. Belgian Ale Marinade: Combine ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a rolling boil for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Let the marinade cool before using (refrigerate if necessary).
  3. Place the steak in the Belgian Ale Marinade and refrigerate for 2-4 hours 20-30 minutes before cooking. Set your BBQ grill or indoor cook top to medium-high heat (375-400°F.) Remove the steak from the Belgian Ale and marinade it for another 15 minutes. Pat the steak dry and season with the salt and pepper. Sear the steak for 6-8 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the heat and wait 10 minutes before cutting.
  4. Slice the steak against the grain. Serve with Molasses Steak Sauce.
  5. Molasses Steak Sauce: Place the yellow onion and garlic in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Begin to melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Once liquefied, add the onion and garlic. Lightly brown the mixture for 5 minutes (stirring as needed.) Add the remaining ingredients and continue to simmer for 30-40 minutes until the sauce has reduced by 50%.
