INGREDIENTS
Gingerbread Syrup
1/4 cup Wholesome Regenerative Organic Certified® Cane Sugar
3/4 cup Wholesome Organic Fair Trade Dark Brown Sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp Wholesome Organic Fair Trade Molasses
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup water
1 tsp kosher salt
Gingerbread Latte
3 tbsp gingerbread syrup
4 shots espresso or 3/4 cup of your favorite coffee
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream, whipped into medium peaks (optional)
1 tsp fresh orange zest
Garnish with gingerbread cookie or marshmallow (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Gingerbread Syrup
1. Combine all ingredients medium pot and simmer
2. Whisk until everything has dissolved and there are no lumps of spices, about 7-10 minutes
3. Taste syrup and add additional sugar, if desired
4. Remove from heat and strain through a strainer
5. Store in a glass jar and refrigerate for up to 3 months
Gingerbread Latte
1. Pour the gingerbread syrup into a cup and warm it in the microwave if it’s straight from the refrigerator
2. Pour 4 shots of espresso or 3/4 cup of your favorite coffee
3. Warm milk for about 45 seconds in the microwave and froth with a whisk or frother
4. Top latte with frothed milk and whipped cream (if desired)
5. Finish with orange zest and a gingerbread cookie or marshmallow for garnish (if desired)
