Twinkling Gingerbread Cookies


1 1/2 cups Wholesome Organic Dark Brown Sugar
2 1/4 cups Wholesome Organic Cane Sugar or Wholesome Natural Cane Sugar
1/4 cup organic unsalted butter
1/4 cup Wholesome Organic Molasses
3/4 tsp ground ginger
3/4 tsp cinnamon
4 large cage-free organic eggs
2 cage-free organic egg whites
9 1/3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2tbsp sea salt
1/2 tbsp baking powder


In a medium bowl, mix the first six ingredients until smooth. Combine the eggs and egg whites in a separate bowl. Then slowly mix them into the creamed sugar and butter until well combined.

Combine the flour, salt and baking powder and mix them into the batter until well combined.
Wrap and chill the dough for several hours before rolling. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Roll dough to desired size and thickness (approximately 1/4-inch thick) and cut to shape. Roll, shape and cut the dough while it is still cold.

Allow dough to chill and rest before baking. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes. Let cool completely before decorating.
