DIRECTIONS:
GINGERBREAD SYRUP
Step 1
Combine all ingredients medium pot and simmer
Step 2
Whisk until everything has dissolved and there are no lumps of spices, about 7-10 minutes
Step 3
Taste syrup and add additional sugar, if desired
Step 4
Remove from heat and strain through a strainer
Step 5
Store in a glass jar and refrigerate for up to 3 months
GINGERBREAD LATTE
Step 1
Pour the gingerbread syrup into a cup and warm it in the microwave if it’s straight from the refrigerator
Step 2
Pour 4 shots of espresso or 3/4 cup of your favorite coffee
Step 3
Warm milk for about 45 seconds in the microwave and froth with a whisk or frother
Step 4
Top latte with frothed milk and whipped cream (if desired)
Step 5
Finish with orange zest and a gingerbread cookie or marshmallow for garnish (if desired)
