DIRECTIONS:
CRUST
Step 1
Mix the flour, organic sugar and salt in a food processor.
Step 2
Add butter slowly, using the on/off switch until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 3
Blend enough water to form moist clumps of dough.
Step 4
Remove dough and form into a ball, then flatten dough into a disk.
Step 5
Wrap with plastic wrap and chill for one hour.
Step 6
Roll dough on a floured work surface to a 13″ round size.
Step 7
Transfer to a 9″ pie pan.
Step 8
Trim and crimp the edges.
Step 9
Chill in freezer for 15 minutes.
PIE FILLING
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Whisk the first five ingredients in a large bowl until blended.
Step 3
Place organic pecans in the bottom of the pie shell.
Step 4
Pour the filling mixture into the pie shell.
Step 5
Bake the pie until set or a knife inserted into the center of the pie come out clean.
Step 6
Cool on a wire rack.
