DIRECTIONS:
Step 1
Put 6 oz can of pineapple juice in a pot.
Step 2
Strain crushed pineapple and add juice and ½ crushed pineapple to pot with pineapple juice (reserve the other ½ of the pineapple for later) to create pineapple syrup.
Step 3
Reduce pineapple juice over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes until thick and syrupy.
Step 4
While pineapple is reducing, bring to a boil in a separate pan, Dark Brown Sugar, ketchup worcestershire, dijon, smoked paprika and garlic powder.
Step 5
Once it has come to a boil, let simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring often.
Step 6
Combine with the pineapple syrup.
Step 7
Add the hot sauce.
Step 8
Add reserved crushed pineapple and simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes.
Step 9
When the sauce has thickened remove from heat and let come to room temp before adding in the honey.
