DIRECTIONS:
Step 1
Leave pizza dough out on your counter for at least an hour, or until it comes to room temperature.
Step 2
Preheat your grill to high heat (around 475–500°F). Clean and oil the grates well to prevent sticking.
Step 3
While the grill is heating, prep the dough. Sprinkle your counter with flour and roll the dough out into a rough circle or oval about ¼ inch thick. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
Step 4
Grill the dough. Carefully lay the dough directly on the hot grill grates. Close the lid and grill for 2–3 minutes until the bottom is lightly charred and the top starts to bubble.
Step 5
Using tongs, flip the dough so the grilled side faces up. Working quickly, spread Hot Honey BBQ Sauce all over the grilled side, leaving a ½ inch border at the edge. Spread cheeses evenly, then top with chicken and thinly sliced red onion.
Step 6
Close the lid and grill for another 3–4 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling, the onion pieces are starting to char, and the bottom crust is crisp and cooked through.
Step 7
Slide the pizza off the grill onto a cutting board. Allow it to cool slightly, then drizzle with additional BBQ sauce and garnish with chopped fresh basil leaves. Slice into pieces and enjoy!
